Cher - you haven't seen the last of me

Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there's just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I'll get up again
Don't count me out just yet

I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of me

I watched Burlesque one night while doing my report on post modernism. When I heard about the film I was excited to see that Cher was coming into film and music again because my mum had always spoke about her voice it was like she was a lost legend. At first glance she looked the same as when she sung "If I could turn back time" on the battleship USS Missouri, though I notice now she is not the same in looks but she has not lost her strength or will which is just as important.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that may things like Post Modernism will be pushed and pulled in many directions and dragged through the dirt but like all good things/people it will last out the storm and become better through it all.

Forge 2 Gallery and Shop

The Forge 2 Gallery in Culworth Village was visited by me and the rest of the FdA today, we met with a woman called Debbie McCullough. We where told all about the great work that goes on the the gallery. The Forge 2 gallery and shop only stocks products which have been made in the British Isles which makes it very good for the local craft/artists. Forge 2 hold work shops which can teach people some skills they may not of been able to gain originally. As we walked in we were welcomed with a drink which I was told was as a thank you for coming out to see the gallery with was in my mind very kind and made me feel like I was at home. There was also a log burner on the back wall which was a nice touch to the space and i was lovely to sit around as we was speaking to Debbie McCullough about what happens at the Forge 2. I really liked my experience at the gallery and i would suggest it to any local craft/artists who wish to see more local art or maybe get theirs out there.

Redundancy

Redundancy: The attribute of being superfluous and unneeded.Well thats what I thought redundancy ment till I was made redundent.

Yesterday ( 3rd October 2011) I was called into work for a staff meeting I guessed it was because we where all meeting the new area manager. We all filed into the stock room a  work friend said before we went in, that they had shut the shop half an hour early. He told us that in under a month we would shut up shop for good, ofcourse we where shocked and upset.
The fact I was going to lose my job didn't worry me it was the fact that after the end of month I would never be able to work with this group of friends ever again.

The first drawing is of a ball-ball off a Christmas tree i used charcoal on plain white paper i really love the shape of the drawing. The second picture is of a pebble off a beach in Aberystwyth the drawing was with charcoal on tracing paper.
